Meatloaf
- 1 - 1 1/2 pounds of lean or not lean ground beef
- 1 egg
- chopped onion (I do a decent amount but you do more or less depending on how much you like onion.)
- 1 cup whole milk (You can do any kind of milk, I usually do whole.)
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- a couple cloves of chopped garlic
- a sprinkling of salt and pepper
- optional-a sprinkling of garlic powder and onion powder
- Topping-Traditionally it is ketchup. Which is fine but I prefer to do just mustard or a mixture of ketchup and mustard with salt and pepper. This is up to you though...you can even keep it topping-less if you want! Or add a sauce on the side and dip as you eat.
- The oven needs to be pre-heated to 350 degrees.
- Grease the pan you'll be using. You can use any type of sheet or pan just as long as it has edges or lips so the grease stays in. Or you can use a bread loaf pan.
- Grab a large bowl and add everything. Combine until everything is fully mixed.
- Put into the loaf pan or if you are using a sheet of some kind, place the mixture in the center and shape it into an oval shape.
- You can either add whatever sauce you want on top now or just leave it bare.
- Put into the oven and cook for about 45 minutes to an hour.
